Professional Background
Ms. Hu graduated from China University of Political Science and Law (Six-year Combined Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Law Program) and Northwestern Pritzker School of Law (Master of Laws) and is qualified to practice in PRC and the State of New York.
Ms. Hu specialized in civil and commercial litigation, arbitration, and enforcement, covering a wide range of fields such as investment and financing, corporate equity transfer, covered mineral resources by construction, independent guarantees, construction, real estate, sales of goods, and corporate governance. Focusing on dispute prevention and resolution simultaneously, Ms. Hu excels at sorting through intricate facts, quickly grasping key issues and assisting clients in sketching out comprehensive and effective legal solutions. She has previously provided services to entities such as Pipe China Co., Ltd. (Pipe China), Sinopec, China Electronics Technology Group Co. (CETC), Sinosure, China CAMC Engineering Co., Ltd., Jinxin Fertility, Veolia, Banpu, and CDH Investments, among others.
In recent years, with the trend of economic globalization, Ms. Hu has represented clients in many cross-border commercial disputes, covering multiple jurisdictions such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Singapore, Germany, the Cayman Islands, the British Virgin Islands, Ecuador, the Republic of the Congo, and Ghana.
Prior to joining Yenlex Partners, Ms. Hu worked at Zhong Lun Law Firm as Senior Associate.
Representative Matters and Cases
  • Represented Pipe China and Sinopec in several disputes relating to covered mineral resources by construction. Recent representative cases include representing a subsidiary of Pipe China in a dispute over a gas pipeline covering mineral resources with the amount in dispute exceeding RMB 200 million.
  • Represented several construction and engineering entities in disputes over independent guarantees. Recent representative cases include representing a state-owned enterprise in an independent guarantee fraud dispute with the amount in dispute exceeding RMB 150 million.
  • Represented Veolia in a dispute over an EPC contract.
  • Represented a subsidiary of Xinxing Cathay International Group in a dispute over a BOT contract.
  • Represented a German company in a dispute over a healthcare sale contract before CIETAC.
  • Represented a venture capital fund in an equity repurchase dispute before CIETAC. After obtaining a favorable arbitral award, assisted the fund in applying for recognition and enforcement of the arbitral award abroad.
  • Assisted with the issuance of an expert opinion on PRC law in relation to PRC foreign exchange regulation before the Federal Court of Australia.
  • Providing general and year-round legal services for the following enterprises and/or institutions: Pipe China, CETC, China South Industries Group Corporation, Cinda Capital Management Company Limited, Beijing Shougang International Engineering Technology Co., Ltd, China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited and China Clean Development Mechanism Fund.
