Professional Background
Mr. Wang represented the Department of General Staff in a number of deals/cases/projects involving the areas of real estate, construction and bulk equipment procurement. Besides, he has experience in assisting major manufacturers and SOEs with legal matter concerning regulatory compliance, investment and financing, labor issues and dispute resolution.
Mr. Wang also works with Taihe Institute as research fellow, focusing on US legal system and Sino-US relationship.
Prior to joining Yenlex Partners, Mr. Wang worked at a well-known domestic law firm, and before that, he worked at Foreign Affairs Office of the Ministry of Defense, Military Procuratorate of the Department of General Staff and Legal Advisory Office of the Department of General Staff.
Representative Matters and Cases
  • Represented the military on an arbitration over the construction fee of a major national defense construction project
  • Represented the military in a litigation over land requisition and demolishing dispute, in a power transmission project for national defense construction
  • Represented a Beijing-based technological company in a series of litigations against Walmart China over contract disputes, recovering damage over RMB 10 million for the company
  • Represented a well-known pay-tech company in a litigation against its shareholders over a stock transfer dispute
  • Represented Zero2IPO Group in an equity investment dispute against a well-known game company
  • Advised a Xingjiang based agricultural company with its IPO project
  • Advised a mobile financial service enterprise with its major asset restructuring project
  • Providing annual retainer counsel for various companies of China Animation Group
  • Representing the military equipment department, attending negotiations in equipment/service procurement projects, against equipment/service provider Huawei; offering legal advice on risk control and compliance in concluding negotiation, assisting with the final draft of procurement contract
  • Providing legal support in terminating military paid services. Responsibilities include contract review and reporting of various paid services; risk appraising and control in negotiations, if any; legal documents drafting. Successfully concluding negotiations with several service parties in the program, reducing indemnities for the military
